The Irish Academy for Dramatic Arts is a project located on the outskirts of Dublin providing an international centre of excellence with an experimental multi purpose theatre space, tutorial rooms, rehearsal rooms, training studios, offices and media/sound facilities.

The late Cathal Ryan (of the Ryanair family) is behind the The Ryan Maynooth centre which has at its centre a 600 seater state-of-the-art public theatre with an interactive external skin using ETFE.
